Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation

The Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation (formerly known as the Andy's Foundation) is our most visible commitment to community involvement. In 2000, Hwy 55 president and founder Kenney Moore began a golf tournament to support local charities. After several successful years, that golf tournament became a foundation to better serve a larger number of organizations within the operational area of our backyards. The Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation made its first contributions in November of 2006, and it continues to do so annually.

After 14 years of service, during which we've given over $1.9 million for worthy causes, Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries continues to support this great organization. We look forward to continuing to impact our communities in a positive way, and we'd love for you to join us. 

The Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and all gifts are tax-deductible.

Each year, during our fundraising season, you can visit your local Hwy 55 to purchase a $1 card for the Hwy 55 Foundation. The 2021 season will be held from July until September!

Grant Applications

The Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation's purpose is providing financial support to organizations that are dedicated to improving the communities they serve. Preference is given to organizations within Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries' service area that specialize in supporting youth causes.

The Board of Trustees of the Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation meets in November each year to consider and make new grants. The funding cycle of the Hwy 55 Charitable Foundation is in November of each year after all of our fundraising has been completed. Applications for funding should be submitted by Nov 20th and will considered by the Board of Directors at the November meeting. Those applicants chosen for funding will be notified at that time. Those not funded are not notified but we encourage them to resubmit in the next funding cycle. 

Each application must include:

  • Description of population served and service offered
  • Copy of 501(c)3 status and tax exempt letter
  • Copy of current budget and sources of funding
  • Use of funds
  • List of board members and staff
  • Brief history of the organization
